City Answers the Brown & Michaels "4 Questions"
From: Invention
Marketing Companies - Are They Real?
- How many inventors has Invention City
represented since its founding in 1997?
During the past 4 years Invention City has represented 8 inventors.
- How many of these made more money through
licensing obtained by the company than they spent in having the invention
marketed by them?
Invention City does not charge up front fees for submissions. The company shares in
the proceeds from successful commercialization. It's a long process.
To date two Invention City inventors have made money. Others will make
money in the years to come. The inventors paid Invention City nothing
in advance - Invention City receives a share of their royalties (see Typical
Deals). Meanwhile Invention City has made investments on behalf of
its inventors.
- How many inventions were presented to
Invention City in the last 4 years?
Approximately 1,500. Our submission process insures that only serious
inventors send us a submissions. Even so, less than 2% receive serious
consideration.
- How many of these inventions did Invention
City select to market?
Eight were selected. Four were seriously pursued. Two have been
commercialized. The other two are in the pipeline.
